The Marquee North
The bucket list stretch. The courses guys fly in for are up here, and so are the crowds and the price tags that come with them. Where you base up here matters as much as where you play, get it right and every round's a short drive with a real town to come back to, get it wrong and you spend the trip in the car. That call changes with your group, and it's one of the first things I solve.
Gaylord and the I-75 corridor
The most golf per mile in the state, nearly all of it resort-driven, which makes the logistics easy. When a bigger group wants a lot of golf without a lot of driving, this is usually where I look first.
Roscommon
A small area with a national reputation, and that's the whole story. Serious golfers make the trip for this stretch alone, and it earns it.
The Sunrise Side
My home turf. I grew up on this golf, and it's the best value story in the state, quality courses at prices the marquee north can't touch. If the budget matters more than the logo on the scorecard, this is where I point people. I wrote the full guide on it.
West Branch
Right off I-75 and the natural first stop on the drive north. Affordable, fun, and a lot of my trips start here.
Southeast Michigan
My backyard. There's more good golf around metro Detroit than people give it credit for, and I've played most of it. Groups basing near the city can put together a real trip without going north at all.
West Michigan and the lakeshore
The corridor for Chicago-side groups. There's a round out here guys I trust call spectacular, good golf, good beer towns, and the shortest drive in the state if you're coming from the west.
Where I come in
The regions and the reasoning are yours to read. The trip I build around them, the base, the courses, the order, is the part you hire me for. Tell me about your group and I'll point you at the right region for a flat fee, no commissions, no markups.
